BACKGROUND
I grew up in Buffalo, NY as a nerdy bookworm with a desire for adventure. In my youth, I was a Girl Scout, a competitive figure roller skater (yes, that's a real thing), and I trained in classical singing. These days I am a frequent national park camper, a roller derby skater, and a karaoke superstar. I graduated in 2018 from the State University of New York at New Paltz with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Digital Media Production and Theatre Technology & Design. Why not do two for the price of one?
After the events industry was decimated in 2020, I embraced the change and drove from New York to Los Angeles to take a new path in my career. I love the energy that flows through LA and the vast potential for making amazing things with the brilliant people who live here - the lack of snow is also nice. I currently work in video production, post-production editing, motion graphics creation, and live event production.
My experience in stage management for theatre has been my greatest asset so far. The rigorous organization, project coordination, and occasional high-pressure improvisation required for the job has given me a fantastic foundation of discipline and creative problem solving that I use in every professional setting I am a part of.
I love all kinds of music, literature, film, television, visual art, animation, theatre, and internet media, especially those with unique and dimensional approaches to storytelling. Can't get enough of the stuff. I hope to have a career that can allow me to explore the world of artistic experiences and that strengthens my connection to the media that has inspired me to walk this path.
I believe that actively partaking in community, art, and culture is the truest way to live a passionate and extraordinary life. The career I desire is focused on collaboration with colleagues that emphasize diversity and inclusion. I am especially committed to elevating LGBTQ+ art and I aim to work on projects that amplify the stories of those without traditional access to media making.
If you have made it this far, please feel free to contact me through my website or send me an email at [email protected]! I am always looking for new opportunities to meet and collaborate! Otherwise, thanks for reading! Stay cool.
